Under

of Fitness or Borang F

CF is the document to proof that the house is fit for
occupation. It is normally handed to the 1st owner when purchased from the
developer.
The CF is required by the Purchaser side most probably
because they need the same when submit the application to the local council for
the renovation/extension to the house. It is quite common now for the Purchaser
to request a copy for the renovation/extension purpose notwithstanding that the
house is for individual title. Some of the Bank will also ask for copy of CF
for release of loan.
What is the difference between CF and CCC?
The biggest difference between the two
is in the move towards
self-regulation in the new system. Now the power to issue
a CCC is with the
professionals in charge of the project as opposed to the CF, which was issued by the local
authority
Certificate of Completion and Compliance (CCC) introduced by the
Street, Drainage and Building (Amendment) Act 2007. Formerly known as the certificate of fitness (CF), the CCC is a document released by
the local authority council that declares a particular property is completed
and safe to be occupied. Under this new
system, the CCC is issued by the Principal
Submitting Person (PSP) who can be a Professional Architect, Professional
Engineer or Registered Building Draughtsman who submits building plans.
